  • Home Design

Bliss Architecture crafts designs out of many elements. Passive energy design, site specific attributes and functionality are naturally incorporated into every design. Other factors such as sustainability, ease-of-maintenance, privacy, security, systems intelligence, healthy and safe environments, accessibility, ‘buildability’ and cost can be prioritised depending on your budget and preferences.

Above all, Bliss Architecture takes the time to listen and understand the way you live, your preferences and what brings you joy. It’s the little things, as well as the big picture, that make your everyday life run more smoothly, and will make your home tailored to fit you and your family.

  • Interior Design

Elements such as textures, patterns, materials, colours, sound and built-in joinery are explored and used to heighten the beauty and mood of each space, bringing architecture and interiors seamlessly together.

The interior design of your home has the ability to elevate your version of ‘bliss’ to the next level; flawlessly accommodating your way of being into everyday tasks.

  • New Build Site Identification

What happens when you have ideas about how your perfect home could be, but are unsure how to pick the best site for your build?

Bliss Architecture can assist you to identify the most suitable site for you, your situation and your dream home. We offer suburb analysis, identifying suitable real estate, site specific cost analyses and what to look out for in purchasing your site.

These services can take you a step further on your new home journey and starts the architectural process off on the best foot.

  • Council Permits: liaison and submission of Town Planning & Building Approvals

Councils, laws and regulations differ for each site and suburb.  Knowing the best way to consider these requirements during the design phase can ease the uncertainty that may come with this process.

Liaison with authorities and clear, concise and consistent communication are key to facilitating approvals for your applications, and I work with clients and council to ensure the best outcome can be reached.

  • Procuring and managing quotes

When the time comes to select a builder, quotes from reliable, dedicated and trusted craftspeople gives you an excellent starting point. Being able to check and compare quotes is central to ensuring you are getting value for money.

Working with builders has given me an in-depth appreciation of costing, programming and construction methods and processes. My preference to work side-by-side with builders to resolve on-site challenges and construction detailing makes for a most successful and satisfying working team.

  • End-to-End project management

Building and renovating homes is one of the biggest financial investments you’ll ever make, and is not without its risks. Risk can present in three ways; time, cost and quality, and engaging end-to-end project management can helpmitigate these through all stages of your project.

The old adage ‘the devil is in the details’ may have evolved during the building of a home! It’s not possible to stipulate every material junction or detail in architectural drawings, and it is these details that need care and consideration as the project progresses. I work closely as an interface between my client and their builder to iron out the decisions that inevitably arise, creating a more seamless experience and ensuring your investment is everything you envisage.

  • Designing for Disability and Accessibility

Designing or modifying a home for people with disabilities, be they temporary or permanent, can seem daunting. It needn’t be: all it takes is some thought, consideration and some up-front planning in order to create the most comfortable space for everyone.

Bliss works closely with those who require additional needs - and their families - to create spaces that allow people to carry out everyday tasks that have been made more complex due to age, injury illness or physical or mental attributes and considerations. It’s an area of design that I’m particularly drawn to, and have undertaken further study to enable me to offer these clients the best service possible.
